Aaron Kidd plays guitar for the group, and is a talented singer.  He usually sings lead, but also sings harmony.  He is a graduate of Hurricane High School, Class of '09.  He is a current student at Marshall University,  majoring in Economics, Class of 2013.

 

 

 

 

 

Andrew Kidd is the banjo player for the group.  He is quite accomplished, last year he placed 2nd in the Vandalia Music Festival's Banjo Contest, as well as 4th place the year before that.  He also won 1st place in the Clay County Golden Delicious Apple Festival's Banjo Contest in 2006.  This year, he placed 1st in the Vandalia Gathering's bluegrass banjo contest.  Andrew attends Marshall University as a Freshman.

 

 

 

 

 

Markel Fertig is the bass player for the group, as well as the baritone and bass singer.  Markel was Aaron and Andrew's 6th grade English teacher, and still teaches at Hurricane Middle School.  Markel is known by many people in the bluegrass world as a very accomplished bassist, and continues to be a huge addition and encouragement.

 

 

 

 

 

Willard Reynolds is the mandolin player for the group, and sings tenor.  He is a retired librarian who is an great mandolin picker who has played with many groups, including on the Grand Ole Opry with the great Bill Monroe.  He, like the other members of the group, is a devout Christian.  He is one of the finest pickers around, and always ready to play music.
